Vista Institute for AI Policy - National Security and AI Law Course
The Vista Institute for AI Policy is hosting a virtual course on National Security Law and AI. The course will consist of expert-led, 1-hour lunchtime sessions from June 19 - July 2.
This training provides an overview of AI-related national security risks and geopolitical challenges alongside essential legal and policy frameworks. It will include sessions on:
Tools like the DPA, IEEPA, and AI export controls taught by law professors Alan Rozenshtein and Kevin Frazier.
Security threats to algorithmic and physical AI infrastructure led by Sella Nevo from the RAND Meselson Center.
Military applications of AI led by Lieutenant General John (Jack) N.T. Shanahan.
A range of other talks and panels in industrial policy, energy policy, and private sector engagement from policy and legal experts

SeedAI Tech Lab Certificate
SeedAI hosts a six-week series of interactive classes run by world-renowned experts that help government employees learn more about the evolving world of AI.
Sessions will be held mostly in-person on Friday afternoons: June 13; June 27; July 11; July 18; July 25 and August 1. To receive a certificate, five out of six sessions need to be attended. Topics include AI and national security, emerging research, and understanding Chinese AI development, with a special session focused on hearing real-world use cases across multiple industries and applications.

Columbia Law School National Security Law Seminar:
Designed with foreign trained professionals in mind, this program is opening up to USG employees at a discounted rate for its duration this summer — June 9-13, 2025.
The program will be taught by Bobby Chesney (Dean of UT Austin Law School & former CISA and DOJ official), Matthew Waxman (served at State, DOD, and NSC under Bush), and Col.
